Rainbow nursery is registered for children aged 12 months to 8 years.
Welcome!
Rainbow nursery is registered for children aged 12 months to 8 years. The nursery is open from 7.30am-5.30pm throughout the year, although it is closed for all Bank holidays. We currently have 8 staff members. We have a Nursery Manager who is supported by a deputy manager and each room has a designated Room Leader. The nursery follows the Government’s Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, that is laid down by Ofsted and supports all our policies and procedures that are updated on a regular basis. All children are provided with nutritious home cooked meals which are cooked on site by our own chef. We regularly take the children on outings to local parks and attraction.
Play is vital for children. It helps them to understand the world around them and it is through play that our children learn, develop at their own pace and have fun with adults who understand, support and care about them.
Our Story
Our journey began when we first opened in 1998. Since opening we have continued to grow and expand. Over the past 23 years we have gained a wonderful staff team of 8 and we have provided the best love and care towards our children. We are a small nursey located near to Darwen Town Centre.
Helping Your Child Explore, Grow, & Learn
Here at Rainbow we do our very best to ensure each child develops to the best of their ability. We follow a daily routine to ensure the children have stability and feel safe and secure. We follow a curriculum called early years foundation stage. This gives the staff an overview of a child’s development stage and helps us to develop any areas of concern. The Early Years Foundation Stage is a booklet that is divided into prime areas we follow to track children’s development.
